Concept Timber supports sustainable forestation and all our wood comes from suppliers with positive reforestation policies. As well as international suppliers, we also make extensive use of homegrown timber from sustainable forests.
Our softwoods are mainly European Redwood and Whitewood sourced from Sweden and the Baltic States. Oak and Douglas Fir are the most popular choices for principle frames – the latter proving particularly popular for its look, durability and relative cost effectiveness. For external cladding, we generally use Cedar and Larch, but are happy to source any kind of timber our clients would like.
Concept Timber is committed to recycling. All our waste goes back into other timber-related building products (eg: chipboard).
